ITHACA, N.Y. — A student was raped on-campus at Ithaca College and police are still looking for the suspect, an official confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

The crime happened between 1:15 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Jan. 22 in the wooded area near the Recreation Trails south of Boothroyd Hall.

A news release about the incident states, “The victim reported sexual intercourse without consent.”

Administrative Lieutenant Thomas Dunn, of Ithaca College’s Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management, said the victim does not know the attacker, but described the suspect as being a white male with brown hair. He also confirmed that the victim is a student.

“We don’t comment a lot on open investigations,” he said, confirming that police have not made an arrest in the case.
