ITHACA — X Ambassadors are returning to their hometown for a music festival in Stewart Park this fall.

The music festival, called Cayuga Sound, will feature X Ambassadors and other bands as well as a series of local events, talks and activities leading up to the weekend of Sept. 23. The band is returning to host an outdoor concert and city-wide weekend festival “for the people that made them who they are,” the event website says.

There will be two stages set up in the park with a mix of national touring acts, friends of the band and local talent. The festival plans to celebrate local businesses as well as support local nonprofits.

Other artists that have been announced include The Roots, K. Flay, The Knocks, Sammus and many others.

There will be pre- and post-party shows at The Haunt, The Dock and others.

Tickets go on sale Friday and range from $10 to $209.50.
