ITHACA — The Ithaca Farmers Market celebrated its reopening on Steamboat Landing this Saturday.

It was a chilly April 1, but inside the pavilion, there was fresh produce from local farms, pastries, hand-made jewelry and other gifts all types of food with a backdrop of live music.

Most of the vendors are the same this year, but there are some new additions too like The Hudson Cake Studio, Yum Yum Korea, Mama Said Hand Pies, Lucky Hare Brewing and Waxing Moon Aromatics. There are also new farms joining the farmers market, including TBD Farms, Boo Radley’s Garden, Here We Are Farm and Birds Kog Farm.

Though it’s early in the season, market-goers could still find some fresh produce available like root vegetables, mixed greens and garlic. There were also plenty of local eggs, meats and cheeses available.

The Farmers Market will not open on Tuesdays and Sundays until May.
