ITHACA, N.Y. — Police say they are continuing the search for a potentially armed suspect in the Ithaca area who was found trespassing with stolen firearms.
Local authorities are looking for Jason R. Fisher, 42, after the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to a trespassing complaint at 950 Danby Rd., at the South Hill Business Campus across from Ithaca College. Police say two subjects, a man and a woman, entered the woods behind the property unlawfully – deputies also reported to having found stolen firearms in the area the two were reported to be trespassing.
Deputies were able to locate and arrest Julie C. Holland, 27, the female suspect of the trespassing complaint. Police say there was a warrant out for Holland’s arrest in Florida. She was arraigned in the Town of Lansing Court and is currently at Tompkins County Jail. Her bail has been set at $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond.
Lt. Dan Donahue said on Friday afternoon that the sheriff’s office is continuing their search for Fisher, but no arrests have been made yet.
“There is no new information at this time concerning Jason Fisher,” he said. “The investigation is ongoing.”
Fisher, who is from Port Charlotte, Florida, is described as a white male, about 6-feet tall, 190 pounds, with blue eyes, balding with a tattoo of two wavy lines on the front of his neck and a large blue star on the right side of his neck. He was last believed to be wearing a black t-shirt and black pants.
