ITHACA, N.Y. — Stop by the annual Greek Festival in Ithaca to get a taste of Greek cuisine.

The 5th Annual Greek Festival at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Bill Manos and other local Greek chefs will prepare authentic Greek cuisine and pastries to eat there or carry out. There will be gyros, chicken and potatoes, Greek salad, baklava, hot loukoumathes (honey puffs) and more. There will also be a gift shop and historical church tours with Father Tom Parthenakis and an iconographer. There will be music, dancing and videos of Greece and its 600 islands.

St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church is located at the corner of West Seneca and Geneva streets.

All proceeds will go toward keeping St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church open, an organizer with the festival said.
