ITHACA, N.Y. — A man was reportedly punched, kicked and robbed Friday night near the intersection of Schuyler Place and East Buffalo Street.

Ithaca police responded to a reported robbery at 11:18 p.m. Friday. The man who was robbed told police he was approached by four black men wearing hoodies and jeans, and then he was shoved to the ground, punched and kicked in the head and body while on the ground.

The victim said he gave one of the men $85 cash from his pocket and the suspects left the area headed south on Schuyler Place toward East State Street.

The suspects are described as four black males between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall. One suspect was wearing a red hoodie style sweatshirt, one wearing a white hoodie, one wearing a dark color hoodie and the fourth was wearing an unknown color hoodie, and all were wearing jeans, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported by Bangs Ambulance to a local medical center.
