ITHACA, N.Y. — Some Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit routes will be detoured from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday for the Ithaca Festival Parade. Routes will also be detoured during the duration of Ithaca Festival this weekend.
Expect detours on Routes 13, 17 and 36 as Cayuga, Lake and Seneca streets will be closed.

TCAT has announced the following route detours:
Ithaca Festival Parade on Friday
Route 13: will detour using NY State Rt. 13, between Stewart Park and Aldi, and will use Third St., Cascadilla St., and Albany St. in both directions.
Bus stops between Third @ Hancock and Stewart Park will not be served during this time period.
Bus stops will be relocated to Stewart Park, Third @ Hancock, and to Albany Street intersections, between Buffalo St. and Cascadilla St.
Route 17: will detour using Albany St., Cascadilla St., and Third St. in both directions.
Bus stops will be relocated to intersections along the detour route.
Route 36: will detour from East Shore Dr., using James Gibbs Dr., NY State Rt. 13 to Green Street.
Boynton Middle School; Ithaca High School; or Fall Creek bus stops will not be served.
Please note: Passengers are advised to expect delays for both Routes 13 and 31 during the parade.
Ithaca Festival events Friday through Sunday
Cayuga Street between Seneca and Court streets will be closed.
Route 13: will detour using Albany St., Cascadilla St., and Third St. in both directions. Bus stops will be relocated to Albany St. intersections.
Route 17: will detour using Tioga St. and Lincoln St. in both directions. Stops along Cayuga Street will be relocated to Albany St. intersections.
Route 36 Outbound a.m.: will detour using Tioga Street to Falls Street.
