ITHACA, N.Y. – On September 17, 2017, Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) will host the Annual Runway 5K. With a course that loops through the runway and taxiway as many as 515 runners will enjoy one of the flattest and fastest races in Tompkins County.
The Runway 5K is part of the Airport Day and includes breakfast from the East Hill Flying Club.
Time: The race will fire off at 9:00 AM (depending on airline schedule). Runners will have one hour to complete the course. Packet pick up will be from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM.
Registration: You can enter the RUNWAY 5K at runsignup.com. Preregistration (before September 1, 2017) will be $20.00 and includes a T-Shirt and a ticket to the breakfast. Race Day registration is $25 and is open from 7:30 AM to 8:15 AM, but with no shirt included. Preregistration is highly encouraged.
Awards: First Male & Female overall will receive a $250.00 travel voucher (rebate with proof of travel) toward airfare from Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport.
Age groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, &70+.
A pancake breakfast is included for all runners after the race at The East Hill Flying Club. Show your race number at the entrance.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Tompkins County SPCA.
