GROTON, N.Y. â€” At least three people are without a home Wednesday after a fire destroyed a residence in Groton Tuesday afternoon.

The fire happened around 3 p.m. and multiple agencies were dispatched to the home, including the Groton and Dryden Fire Departments. No injuries were reported at the scene.

According to a social media post, the home was a total loss and clothing donations are being accepted at the Groton Fire Department for the residents.

Items requested include:

  • Men’s shirts in sizes 3XL and 2XL and pants sizes 42 and 38.
  • Women’s medium shirts and size 7 pants size.

The Groton Fire Department is located at 108 Cortland Street.

Officials have not returned requests for comment by press time.
