DRYDEN, N.Y. — The Tompkins County Health Department is looking for information about a dog that reportedly bit a person in the Town of Dryden.
The health department is asking the public for help identifying a gray/brown pit bull or pit bull mix. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon on the 1800 block of Dryden Road.
The dog was wearing a red collar but was running loose at the time of the bite.
The health department would like to verify the dog’s vaccination status to rule out the possibility of rabies infection and post-exposure treatment for the person who was bitten.
Anyone with information regarding this dog is urged to call the Tompkins County Environmental Health Division at (607) 274-6688.
