ITHACA, N.Y. â€” An Ithaca man is facing multiple felonies after police say they found him with drugs while an officer was investigating a vehicle parked in the roadway.

Police said that around 2:14 a.m. Sunday, an officer saw a car parked in the roadway on the 300 block of Elmira Road. A traffic stop was initiated to check on the welfare of the people in the car.

The passenger in the vehicle, Teheran Forrest, was found with crack cocaine and taken to the Ithaca Police Department Headquarters to get booked. While there, officers said they found more crack cocaine wrapped in plastic being hidden in Forrest’s mouth.

He’s being charged with felonies for fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

He was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.

The driver was released at the scene with a ticket.
