ITHACA, N.Y. — Two paving projects are scheduled to start soon. The separate projects will impact Stone Quarry Road and part of Seneca Street.

The 100 block of East Seneca Street and the 100 block of West Seneca Street will be reduced to one lane next week for water utility trench repair, according to the City of Ithaca. Work begins Monday, Sept. 18 and weather permitting will wrap up Friday.

Stone Quarry Road from Spencer Road to the city line will be impacted for road paving beginning Oct. 2. Driveways will be accessible during the project, but some delays will be possible on paving days. Emergency vehicle access will be difficult during the paving process.

The city recommends taking South Aurora Street as a detour.

The Stone Quarry Road project is scheduled for completion on Oct. 6, weather permitting.
