GROTON, N.Y. — Groton police are looking for a suspect in a reported gas station robbery that happened Sunday night.

Police were called to the scene just after 11 p.m. at the Red Apple Food Marts at 176 Main St.

According to a news release Wednesday, “An unknown male entered the store and handed a note to the clerk demanding cash. The suspect then left the store heading northbound on foot with an unknown amount of cash.”

The suspect is described as being 6-feet-tall with a slim build. In a photo police released, the suspect is wearing a dark colored hoodie and dark colored pants.

Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to call the Groton Police Department at 607 898-3131.
