ITHACA, N.Y. — Senator Tom O’Mara is hosting a town hall in the city of Ithaca Thursday night to take questions from the public and address concerns.
From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, O’Mara, a Republican, will be at Ithaca Town Hall, which is located at 215 N. Tioga St.
O’Mara represents a large part of the 58th District, representing Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and Yates counties. He also represents a portion of Tompkins County including the city and town of Ithaca and the towns of Enfield, Newfield and Ulysses.
In a news release about the event, O’Mara said, “I hope local residents will continue to take advantage of these community meetings to learn more about and contribute to the challenges facing our region and state, including the heroin and opioid crisis, job creation, high taxes and overregulation, mandate relief, health care, education, transportation, and so many others. Community meetings offer an opportunity for the direct give and take that’s fundamental to effective government.”
The Ithaca Voice will be recording and likely streaming the event live.
