(Ithaca, NY) Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties (TCHFH) is well underway with construction of two homes at 208 and 210 Third Street in Ithaca. The houses have taken shape and, with cold weather arriving, the roofs are on and windows and doors are going in. TCHFH will continue to work steadily all the through the winter in preparation for two homebuyers to purchase and move into the homes in 2018.

Please join TCHFH for an Open House to celebrate progress at Third Street, thank donors and volunteers, and learn about future plans in Ithaca!  All are welcome to join the celebration on site at 208-210 Third Street in Ithaca, on
Thursday, November 16 th from 5:30 – 7:00 PM.

The Mayor of Ithaca, Svante Myrick, as well as County Legislator Martha Robertson will speak about affordable housing in our community, attendees will also have an opportunity to tour the house and catch the premier showing of Habitat’s new promotional video.  Habitat’s staff and homeowners- to-be will also be on site to share their stories and answer questions. Whether you are interested in volunteering, donating, or becoming a homeowner, this is a great opportunity to learn more about Habitat’s work.

Excited to be building for the first time in the City of Ithaca, TCHFH is planning to continue the momentum with plans for additional units in downtown Ithaca next year. They are currently accepting applications for Habitat homebuyers.
