LANSING, N.Y. â€” A Dryden man was arrested last week after police say he walked into a Target and began shouting that there was a bomb in the building.

According to police, officers were called around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to the store at 40 Catherwood Road in the Village of Lansing. Employees reported that a man announced to employees and shoppers that a bomb was in the building and then walked into the store.

William S. Bleck, 52, was taken into custody and is charged with misdemeanor third-degree falsely reporting an incident.

After reviewing surveillance cameras, police determined that there was no bomb in the building.

Bleck was released from custody on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to the Town of Lansing Court on Feb. 13.
