ITHACA, N.Y. — New York State Police are searching for two suspects who made purchases with stolen credit card information.

Two victims, one from Ithaca and one from Homer, reported fraudulent purchases on their credit cards. Police say their credit card information was taken and placed on fake cards. Those cards were then used to make purchases at Walmart stores in Watkins Glen and Painted Post in December.

New York State Police Trooper  and Public Information Officer Nathan Riegal said the two people who reported fraudulent purchases still have their credit cards, which led police to believe credit card skimming took place.

Images released by police show a man and woman entering Walmart. Both images are dated Dec. 2, 2017.

Anyone with information that could identify the two suspects are asked to call the NYSP at 607-346-4441 and refer to case #7947954.
