ITHACA, N.Y. — The Maguire Family of Dealerships is officially taking over Honda of Ithaca, which will now be operating under the name Maguire Honda of Ithaca, and will continue selling, leasing and servicing Hondas.
Maguire said in a news release that Honda of Ithaca is the business’ first and only Honda franchise, making it the 19th automotive brand in its auto sales and services operation throughout 11 stores.
The news release says, “And since each Maguire dealership runs independently, area car buyers are ensured competitive pricing with clear customer satisfaction benchmarks regardless of which store they visit and what models they compare.”
The company stated that they expect “employee carryover in both Honda of Ithaca’s sales and service areas.”
The new venture for Maguire went into effect this month.
Maguire is a major real estate player in Ithaca. Since just last fall, Maguire, the president of the Maguire Family of Dealerships automotive sales firm, purchased 340 and 344 Elmira Road for $1.375 million on November 22nd, and 100 Commercial Avenue for $4.65 million on December 1st.
