ITHACA, N.Y. – Do you have a mural you’d like to paint in Ithaca this spring? Individuals or groups may submit requests for up to $300 toward mural projects that incorporate an aspect of justice in their project. Murals can be on/in a community center, school, business, home, vehicle, fence, or anywhere in the Ithaca area that faces the public. Applicants need permission for location prior to applying.
Application checklist:
– Your name(s), contact(s), and mural title
– Short project description, dimensions, materials list, budget, timeline
– Amount of money you’re requesting
– Image of your proposed mural
– Picture of location for which you have permission for this project
– 3-5 examples of previous art experience
Applications due: April 6, 2018 by 5 p.m.
Winning Proposals Announced: April 13, 2018
Successful proposals will demonstrate potential impact project will have on our communities. Juried by representatives of co-sponsoring organizations listed below.
Artists may wish to show matching funds from other sources including businesses, non-profits, organizations, or individuals.
