ITHACA, N.Y. — Spend an evening getting inspired about bicycling with films from around the world at the 5th Annual Streets Alive! Film Festival.

Doors open for the event at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Cinemapolis and films begin at 7 p.m. There’s an incentive to get their early because the first 75 people get free popcorn.

There will be a mix of inspirational short bike films from Ithaca, the U.S., and abroad. Following the films, there will be a conversation about bikes and a reveal of Ithaca’s new bikeshare system.

With spring here, Streets Alive! is just around the corner. Ithaca’s biannual community celebration will take place April 29 on North Cayuga Street and West Court Street.

The event is free and open to the public.
