ITHACA, N.Y. — Two Ithaca men are facing multiple charges after police say an array of drugs were found in their posession, following a traffic stop.
New York State Police said in a news release that troopers responded around 11:46 p.m. Saturday to “a complaint of a suspicious vehicle” on Gray Road in the Town of Ithaca.
After pulling the vehicle over, it was determined that driver Thomas J. Bennett, 27, was operating the vehicle under the influence, police said.
Bennett was charged with misdemeanors for driving while ability impaired by drugs and three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Passenger Nathan L. Bennett, 23, was also charged with a misdemeanor for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a violation for having marijuana.
According to the news release, police found that the men had marijuana, morphine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia in their possession.
Both men were issued appearance tickets at the Town of Enfield Court for June 26.
