ITHACA, N.Y. — Labor Day is Monday. As you enjoy the end of summer and plan out your holiday, take note of a few closings and delays due to the holiday.

Here’s a list of closings.

Bus service

Passengers who typically ride TCAT are asked to refer to the Sunday service schedule on Monday for the Labor Day holiday. TCAT’s administrative offices will also be closed for the holiday.

Route 13, which serves Stewart Park and the Shops at Ithaca Mall, will operate on a modified Saturday schedule leaving from Green Street Station at the top of the hour between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. However, there will be no 1 p.m. trip, according to TCAT.

TCAT will resume its normal schedule and administrative offices will re-open with normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Recycling

The Tompkins County Department of Recycling and Materials Management and the Recycling & Solid Waste Center will be closed Monday. There will be no curbside recycling collection on Monday. Pick-up will take place one day later for the remainder of the holiday week.

Tompkins County Public Library

The library will be closed Saturday through Monday for the Labor Day holiday. The library will reopen at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
