ITHACA, N.Y. — The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a burglary reported early Thursday at a South Hill apartment.

The resident told officers that he was woken by someone going through his personal belongings in his bedroom, which is on the second floor of an apartment on the 100 block of Hudson Street. The suspect fled when they noticed the resident had woken up, police said.

Police responded to the apartment at about 6 a.m. Thursday.

Anyone with information that could aid the investigation is asked to contact the Ithaca Police Department.
