ITHACA, N.Y. — Ithaca police have arrested an Ithaca resident after he allegedly threatened to stab a woman and fired a shotgun during an argument.

At about 9:25 p.m. Saturday, officers from the Ithaca Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the Jungle. A woman told police that a man, identified as Terrance Jones, 30, of Ithaca, had threatened to stab her during an argument. He also fired a shotgun during the argument, she told police. The woman was not injured.

Jones had fled before police arrived.

However, Jones was later apprehended at a grocery store at about 3 a.m. Sunday.

Jones was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Jones was arraigned in Ithaca City Court with counsel and remanded to Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
