ITHACA, N.Y. – Guthrie Medical Group announced plans Friday to move forward with construction of a new office at 101 Pier Road. The 60,000 square foot medical facility will be part of the City Harbor development along Ithaca’s waterfront, at the former Johnson Boatyard site.

Guthrie serves patients throughout 11 counties in Pennsylvania and New York. According to a press release, the number of patients the clinic serves in Tompkins County has been growing.
“Last year we saw an increase in Tompkins County residents choosing Guthrie for their care. We’re pleased that we will be able to offer additional choices to the residents of Ithaca and surrounding communities as we bring more services to Tompkins County,” said Joseph Scopelliti, Guthrie president and CEO.
The new three-story office building will house a mix of clinical services. Scopelliti said the facility will bring new options for patients seeking care.
“Tompkins County is part of Guthrie’s primary service area and home to one of our largest and busiest medical group offices. We have had an established presence in Tompkins County for 25 years and we will continue to provide patients with choice as we serve the needs of the community,” Scopelliti said.
