GROTON, N.Y. – Police announced Friday that they have arrested a Groton man on two charges related to child pornography.
New York State Police arrested Christopher A. Barrows, 61, on April 2, 2019, after an investigation carried out by the Troop C Computer Crimes Unit and Bureau of Criminal Investigations at Ithaca, according to a news release.
“The CCU was made aware in August 2018 that inappropriate images of children were being uploaded to the residence where Barrows was living,” police said in a news release.
Police executed a search warrant on April 2 and made the arrest.
Barrows faces two counts each of promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, felony charges.
He was arraigned in the Town of Groton Court and remanded to Tompkins County Jail on $2,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
