
TCAT is a not-for-profit corporation that provides public bus transit to Tompkins County, located in New York’s Central Finger Lakes region. With about 130 employees, TCAT operates 34 routes, 7 days per week, 360 days per year and 22- ½ hours a day.
TCAT’s nearly 90 professional bus operators are highly trained and adopt best practices in both safe driving and customer service. TCAT’s annual ridership is more than 4 million, covering a distance of about 1.6 million miles. Our fleet of approximately 50 buses currently includes diesel and hybrid electric-diesel buses with the goal of converting its entire fleet to all zero-emission electric buses by 2040.
