ITHACA, N.Y. — The annual Ithaca Festival Parade was as exciting and weird as ever. Community members from dozens of local organizations paraded down North Cayuga Street for about two hours Thursday with music, costumes, fire — through a whole lot of rain.

The parade was the official kick-off for the Ithaca Festival, which is now underway in Downtown Ithaca. With the theme, “Full STEAM ahead,” the weekend will celebrate the best of Ithaca with performances, music, food, crafts, beverages, art and more.
