TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. — The 2019 Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance wrapped up Sunday night after four days of soaring temperatures, dancing, arts and of course, music.
From July 18 to 21, thousands of people gathered at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds to celebrate — and despite the high temperatures (the airport recorded a heat index of 106 on Friday and 101 on Saturday), music fans danced the day away to music styles from across the globe. There were four stages and about 80 bands.
The weekend-long event also had plenty of activities like yoga classes, face painting, crafts, lawn games and lots of food to choose from.
