ITHACA, N.Y. — Stewart Park was a celebration Wednesday evening. People of all ages came out to enjoy the music, food and festivities. And once the sun disappeared and the national anthem was sung, the fireworks show began.

The fireworks were organized by the Ithaca Rotary Club and co-sponsored by the City of Ithaca and supported by donations from the community. Spectators that crowded to the shore or paddled up in boats enjoyed the pyrotechnics display by the American Fireworks Company, who launched the fireworks from the golf course across from Stewart Park.
