TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. — This year, the Tompkins County Veterans Day Parade is celebrating its 100th year.

Mark your calendars: the parade will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.

The route will begin at the corner of North Titus Avenue and Cayuga Street and proceed north along Cayuga Street before it turns west onto West State Street. The parade will stop at the VFW Post 961.

The parade will include various veterans groups, boy scouts and girl scouts, pipe bands, law enforcement and fire companies.

After the parade, spectators and participants can enjoy refreshments at the VFW Post 961. For anyone that requires seating, there will be some available outside the Post on West State Street across from the State Diner.
