TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. — Bright foliage and beautiful fall weather have created perfect opportunities for photos lately.
The Ithaca Voice asked readers to submit photos of some of their favorite scenes this fall season and this editor’s inbox was filled this weekend (happily) with photos that represent what makes this area so beautiful.
According to the latest fall foliage report for New York, foliage is around peak color, or a little past, in Tompkins County. According to iloveny.org, observers in Tompkins were expecting more than 75% leaf transition by the weekend, with shades of yellow, bright orange, and dark red with pockets of bright red. Readers captured those bright colors along Cayuga Lake, on the waterfront trail, at Taughannock Falls State Park and in local forests.
Thank you to everyone who submitted photos!
