ITHACA, N.Y. — Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit will offer a special route Sunday, Oct. 13 to the Ithaca Farmers Market.

Route 13FM will operate Sunday only and provide hourly service from Cornell’s campus and points in between to the Farmers Market between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The route will depart Hasbrouck Apartments at :03 after the hour from 10:03 a.m. through 2:03 p.m. and will serve stops at Milstein Hall, Baker Flagpole; Seneca @ Commons; and @ Third @ Hancock before arriving at the Aldi/ Farmers Market stop at :25 after the hour. The route will leave the Aldi/ Farmers Market stop at: 31 after the hour from 10:31 a.m. through 2:31 p.m., returning to Hasbrouck at 3 p.m.

It’s just a temporary route, but TCAT Assistant General Manager Mike Smith, who oversees TCAT’s operations, said in a news release that he hopes to add it as a regular route beginning in Spring 2020.

This Sunday at the Ithaca Farmers Market, there is a free apple tasting event from noon to 3 p.m. Attendees can sample apples grown within 30 miles of Ithaca.
