ITHACA, N.Y. –– The Advocacy Center’s teen activism group, ACTion, is hosting a Consent Rocks! Benefit Concert on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in Ithaca High School’s Kulp Auditorium, 1401 N. Cayuga Street, Ithaca.

Consent is a concept we practice in everyday situations –– any time we’re talking about respecting personal and emotional boundaries. The teen organizers chose this name because consent is essential to healthy relationships.

Friday’s concert will feature a collection of vocal, instrumental, spoken word, and dance performances by middle school, high school, and college students as well as adults from throughout the community.

There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door –– everyone is welcome regardless of payment. The funds raised will support ACTion, as well as the agency’s youth services.

The concert is supported by sponsors DSP Shows, Armstrong School of Dance and Duthie Orthodontics.

The Advocacy Center wants the community to know that the teens worked hard to plan a great concert for the community, and ask that you please join them for this empowering event.
