TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. — The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, and local residents will have the opportunity to vote for a number of local positions, including Ithaca mayor, several Common Council seats, county judge, state supreme court judges, and several seats across Tompkins County.

Who is running? You can see sample ballots on the BOE website for elections in the city and town of Ithaca, Caroline, Danby, Dryden, Enfield, Groton, Lansing, Newfield and Ulysses.
Tompkins County residents will choose three people for the 6th judicial district of the state supreme court. There is also one candidate running for Tompkins County Court judge, Scott Miller. From there, the choices will vary based on your ward and municipality.

In the City of Ithaca, residents will be choosing who they want mayor — Svante Myrick or Adam Levine. Several members of Common Council are also up for re-election, and three are being challenged by write-in candidates from the Sunrise Movement. See our articles about those races below:
