ITHACA, N.Y. — Two children reported missing on Thursday evening in separate incidents have both been located and reunited with their families.
Both juveniles were reported missing on Thursday in unreleated incidents, according to police.
Elijah Richards, 13, was reported missing from Abbott Lane around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday night.
He was reportedly at a friend’s house and returned home without incident at around 11:50 p.m., Thursday.
Shawna Reese, 15, was reported missing from 150 West Village Place at 3:15 p.m.
Shawana, who is autistic, was found walking in the City of Ithaca after midnight by a concerned citizen and transported to the St. Johns Community Center.
Shawna was turned over to an employee at the community center who contacted the Ithaca Police Department.
IPD confirmed the juvenile was Shawna Reese, who appeared to be safe and unharmed.
Police transported Shawna’s mother to the St. Johns Community Center where she was reunited with her daughter.
