New Roots Charter School and Finger Lakes ReUse are partnering on a hands-on educational fundraising opportunity for New Roots seniors in the Sustainable Entrepreneurship class. Students visited the Ithaca Reuse Center and chose wares and goods that will be sold by students at the Alternatives Federal Credit Union Holiday Market on Dec. 13, 2019 from 9 to 5 p.m. Proceeds from the market will be used for senior year activities and events.

The market experience for seniors compliments their learning in the Sustainable Entrepreneurship class with real-world experience, including social responsibility, environmental awareness, ethics, strategy planning, partnerships, and starting and running a sustainable business. Students are grateful for the opportunity to partner with one of the leaders of sustainable entrepreneurship in Ithaca.
