ITHACA, N.Y. –– Ithaca Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Collegetown that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 31.

At around 6:30 a.m. Sunday the Ithaca Police and the Ithaca Fire Departments responded to a reported structure fire in the 100 block of Llenroc Court.

The fire was found and extinguished by the IFD.

IPD has deemed the fire suspicious and is currently investigating.

The investigation is being conducted with assistance from IFD, Cornell University Police Department, Cornell Environmental Health and Safety and the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control, according to a release from IPD Sunday evening.
