ITHACA, N.Y. — The City of Ithaca announced on Monday that, beginning this Thursday, June 25, the 100 block of North Aurora Street will be closed to traffic to help accommodate outdoor seating for area businesses.

“The closure will enable restaurants to expand their outdoor seating for a trial period of one month,” reads a statement from the city. “During the closure, an ADA accessible pedestrian path will be maintained in the street between East State Street and East Seneca Street.”

Northbound traffic on N. Aurora will be rerouted to East State Street, Seneca Way and East Seneca Street. Westbound traffic on East State Street will be rerouted to East Seneca Street.

Paid parking will be temporarily suspended in front of 211-215 East Seneca Street to make way for expanded loading zone and temporary pick-up and drop-off zone for restaurant patrons and their suppliers.
