ITHACA, N.Y. —The City of Ithaca has announced construction this Wednesday that will see North Meadow Street reduced to one lane for a portion of the day.
The intersection of North Meadow and West Buffalo Streets will be under construction from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, for an update to Buffalo Street Wastewater Pumping Station.
North Meadow Street will be down to one lane, beginning at the intersection at West Seneca Street to 150-feet north of the intersection of West Buffalo Street. There are traffic delays expected to the north of the intersection of West Court Street. In addition, the right turn lane for the traffic westbound on West Buffalo Street onto North Meadow street will be closed.
The City recommends that west bound traffic on West Buffalo Street planning to turn right (north) onto North Meadow Street, drivers should turn right (north) onto either North Cayuga, North Albany or North Plain Streets and go one block north, then turn left (west) on West Court Street, and take West Court Street all the way to North Meadow Street.
While the City expects no interruptions to the water service, the project’s goal is to clean a wet well and replace pump components.
