ITHACA, N.Y. –– The Ithaca Police Department is investigating after responding to reports of shots fired on Spencer Rd. Friday night.

On Friday, Aug. 14 at approximately 9:30 p.m. multiple callers to 911 reported two vehicles speeding by the 600 block of Spencer Rd. while possibly shooting at one another.

When Ithaca Police officers arrived on scene, the two vehicles had fled the area. After searching the area officers were able to locate a bullet casing in the roadway.

No one was reported injured during the incident.

The vehicles were described by witnesses as a white SUV and a black Chrysler 300.
