ITHACA, N.Y.—A Cornell University freshman has been reported missing since Tuesday, April 6, according to a campus-wide announcement by Cornell University VP Ryan Lombardi.

Shawn West, 18, was last seen April 6 at his residence hall on the school’s North Campus. Since then, he was reported missing by a parent in New York City. The school’s description of West is as follows: 5’10”, 160 lbs., black hair and brown eyes. There was no information available about what he might be wearing.

The announcement was first reported by the Cornell Daily Sun. The school said that information on his whereabouts should be reported to Cornell Police via (607) 255-1111 or CUP-inv@cornell.edu.

“We are in contact with Shawn’s family and will provide additional updates as soon as they are available,” Lombardi wrote.
