UPDATE MONDAY, APRIL 19 –– What was originally scheduled to be a two-week construction closure on Triphammer Road has now been extended through the end of the month.

According to a press release from the City of Ithaca, Triphammer Road between Sisson Place and Wait Ave will be closed for the replacement of a storm sewer until Friday, April 30. See below for detours.

ITHACA, N.Y. –– Triphammer Road between Sisson Place and Wait Ave will be closed for two weeks starting Monday as crews work to replace a storm sewer in the area.

The project will replace the existing drain inlet, pipe and curb. The work, which starts the morning of Monday April 5, is expected to wrap up April 16, though the city warns that, “construction, by nature, is subject to constant change, inclement weather and unexpected findings.”

The following detours are suggested for motorists needing to travel in the are:

For Northbound traffic take Thurston Ave to Highland Road to White Park Road. For Southbound traffic take White Park Road to Highland Road to Thurston Ave.
