UPDATE –– City of Ithaca Streets and Facilities Division announced today that work on the 600 and 700 blocks of Cascadilla Street will extend into next week. The work is now expected to finish by Tuesday, June 8.

ITHACA, N.Y. –– Crews working on ditches for water and sewer pipes on the 600 and 700 blocks of Cascadilla Street have shut down the road to daytime thru traffic until Friday.
The stated goal of the project is to “dig and replace asphalt for water and sewer utility ditches,” according to a City announcement.
Work began this morning at 7:00 a.m. and is scheduled to be completed Friday, June 4, at 3:30 p.m.
No parking nor traffic will be permitted during working hours, while of course residents will still have access. “Working hours” should typically end around 3:30 everday.
