ITHACA, N.Y.—One person was injured during a dispute at a party on Saturday night in Ithaca.

The incident occurred in the 200 block of Eddy Street around 2:25 a.m. Police said shortly afterward they found a man who had been stabbed in the right arm.

Witnesses told police, according to the law enforcement narrative, that a fight had occurred after “three party guests refused to leave a large party in the 200 block of Eddy Street.” That devolved into a fight, according to police, “involving numerous people which resulted in the victim being stabbed.”

The three unwanted guests then took off in a mini-van. Police said that three people were detained and were in police custody as of Sunday morning, but that the investigation is ongoing. It is unclear if any charges have been filed against the three people who were detained. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Cayuga Medical Center.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward, even if they want to remain anonymous.
