ITHACA, N.Y.—An Ithaca man has been charged with two counts of forcible touching after a string of incidents in downtown Ithaca on Wednesday, Jan. 5.

Police said they were alerted around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday of “multiple reports of a man forcibly groping multiple female victims in two downtown businesses” in Ithaca.

Police said the suspect was unknown to the victims, and that witnesses assisted police with a description. At some point afterwards, 24-year-old Abraham Phelan was arrested in connection with the incident. He was charged with two counts of forcible touching and arraigned, sent to Tompkins County Jail on $4,000 cash.

There may be other victims, who the police department is asking to come forward.
