ITHACA, N.Y.—At approximately 10:27 a.m. Thursday Jan. 13, Ithaca Police Department officers responded to an attempted bank robbery on the 700 block of W. Seneca Street at Tompkins Trust Company.

The responding officers interviewed several witnesses at the bank and assembled a description of the suspect, soon after locating a person matching the description.

The suspect was identified as 51-year-old Edward J. Warren of Ithaca who was arrested and charged with third-degree attempted robbery. Warren was then arraigned before Ithaca City Court Judge Wallace and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail as a predicate felony offender.
