ITHACA, N.Y.—Officers from the Ithaca Police Department responded to a reported burglary in progress at approximately 1:15 a.m. on April 13 on West Lincoln Street.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the residents who reported they had heard and seen an unknown individual in their home. Officers searched the property and found the intruder hiding in a bedroom.

Officers arrested 32-year-old Donald Beauchamp of Ithaca before he was arraigned before Ithaca City Judge Seth Peacock and was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail. He was charged with second degree burglary and petit larceny.
