NEWFIELD, N.Y.—New York State Police are looking for a man who used a fraudulent credit card at a business in Newfield.

Police said a man used the card at Little’s Lawn Equipment in Newfield on March 7, 2022. Police claimed “he came and picked up the mower in a U-Haul. The mower is a Gravely ZT HD 24 Horsepower lawn mower with a 60-inch mower deck.”

According to a Google search, the lawnmower likely costs in the neighborhood of $5,000-$6,000.

In a picture provided by police, the man appears to be a young adult, white with brown hair, with a slim build. He is wearing a Ghostbusters sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes. It is unclear if the fraudulent credit card was also used to rent the U-Haul.
