ITHACA, N.Y.—On June 14, at approximately 4:16 p.m. Ithaca Police Department officers responded to a complaint of a shots fired incident near downtown Ithaca.
The complaint stated that the witness and another subject were walking near the intersection of South Albany and Wood streets when an occupant of a dark-colored Honda SUV fired a gun toward them, according to police.
One subject was hit in the arm by what is believed to be a round that came from a BB gun, which did not result in any injuries. After the BB gun was fired, the dark-colored vehicle fled the area toward Elmira Road, and no additional description is available.

In a separate incident, on June 13, police arrested a man named Noe Escobar after he was escorted out of a public building on West State Street that he was refusing to leave. Escobar was “swearing, yelling and threatening staff” within the building, then became more aggressive outside of the building towards police officers.
Police allege that Escobar then began pushing and shoving officers before he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
